Exhibition at FOOMA JAPAN 2019

Jul. 09 - 12, 2019

We are going to exhibit at the largest trade show in the food industry in Asia, FOOMA JAPAN, from July 9th to 12th. We will introduce applications of our collaborative dual-arm SCARA robot “duAro” for the food production processes.

Please explore Kawasaki’s unique solutions of the “duAro”, contributing to combat the challenges in the food industry such as labor shortage and demand for higher productivity.

We look forward to seeing you at our Kawasaki booth (South 3A - 31 in South Hall).

Exhibition Contents

<The applications born from Kawasaki’s automation experience in the food industry>

■Case packing of wrapped rice balls & replacing food trays(duAro1+RS010L)
The duAro aligns and packs rice balls into food trays, and a small-payload RS010L robot replaces the trays. This combination achieves the industry’s fastest processing speed at this application.

■Closing the lid of bento boxes(duAro1)
The duAro closes a lid of bento boxes just like humans do but faster. It does not require re-programming and changing hands even when the products on the production line vary.

■Assembling boxes and packing products into them(duAro2)
By using its two hands, the duAro assembles cardboard boxes and packs products into the assembled boxes. Kawasaki’s packaged solution is capable of handling different sizes of boxes and products without exchanging hands.

About the duAro, Kawasaki's collaborative dual-arm SCARA robot

The “duAro”, collaborative dual-arm SCARA robots allow manufacturers to efficiently and cost-effectively automate a wide range of applications. They have the flexibility to be applied to production lines with a short product cycle and frequent changeovers, and can safely collaborate with humans in work operations.
