Fixtureless arc welding of railcar cross member

This video shows a Kawasaki F series robot mounted on a 7th axis rail with 8th axis Z positioner. The large rail car part is manipulated via a Kawasaki multi-axis Servo positioner. In total, the system utilizes 10 axes of cooperative motion control. Touch sensing and arc seam tracking are utilized.
