Plasma cutting ship parts using auto path generation

This video shows two Kawasaki F series robots equipped with plasma equipment cutting large ship parts. The 6-axis robots on the Kawasaki 7th axes traversing unit can manipulate the plasma head along the entire length of the work piece. New profiles and paths are easily created from CAD data via the Kawasaki KCONG software, allowing changes to the robot program without interrupting production.
